Markus Weinkopf is an architect and urban planner. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Vienna and subsequently worked in an architectural office which he run as an office manager for several years. In 2006, he became one of the partners in this office. In the very same year, he completed a training to become a mediator in the fields of planning, construction and environment at the Bavarian Chamber of Architects. He got his Master of Arts degree (M.A.) in Mediation at the Europe University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder. Markus Weinkopf has gathered further experiences in the fields of business and community mediation as well as a moderator of citizen participation procedures. Because of his expert knowledge in architecture and construction, Markus Weinkopf is a sought-after mediator for the public and private construction sector. Since 1993 he has been actively and voluntarily involved in the work of the psychosocial centre REFUGIO in Munich, among other things, as a member of the Executive Board of the registered sponsoring association REFUGIO which is an NGO that primarily takes care of traumatised refugees.
